Hydronic heating systems are very popular in upper-scale Class A motorhomes. A hydronic heating system utilizes a diesel or propane burner and an electric heating element to heat a boiler, which then circulates boiler antifreeze throughout various zones within the coach to provide heating via small heat exchangers. The hydronic heating systems also offer hot water for kitchen, bathroom, and shower needs. The most prevalent hydronic system used in RVs is made by Aqua-Hot Heating Systems, formerly known as Vehicle Systems, Inc. In 2019, Aqua-Hot became part of the Airxcel family of brands. Another manufacturer of hydronic systems is Oasis by International Thermal Research (ITR), which can be found installed in Newmar motorhomes.

Hydronic manufacturers recommend an annual service schedule, regardless of the system’s usage throughout the year. If issues arise with the hydronic heat system, annual service should be performed first.

Wayne is a first class operator and extremely professional RV tech. He works through the problem with logical steps to find the problem with accuracy, saving time and money. I highly recommend him and if I could give him 10 stars it still would not be enough. He diagnosed and repaired a problem that had stumped me with my Oasis heater in less than hour.
Bravo!
