Welcome to RV Doctor, LLC! My name is Wayne Kosters. I am a National Recreational Vehicle Inspectors Association (NRVIA) Certified Inspector and an RVTI Master Certified RV Technician, providing inspections in the upper Midwest. Using my engineering and software background, I have developed the inspection Template and Library I use. The inspection software is based on Scribeware’s home inspection software, which many great recreational vehicle (RV) inspectors use. Over the years, I have owned and traveled in RVs with many great memories. I hope that you will also have great RV memories. If you would like additional information on an RV inspection, please fill out your contact information.
My current RV is a 2025 Winnebago Ekko. After retiring from my professional career, I established RV Doctor, LLC in 2018 to continue utilizing my knowledge and experience by inspecting, maintaining, and repairing RVs. I look forward to working with you and supporting you as you purchase an RV and as an RV owner!
FAQs
1A. The time that it takes to inspect a coach depends on many factors, which include;
Inspectors spend more time examining older coaches, as they tend to uncover more findings that require documentation.
The type of coach is also a factor; a large Class A Diesel Pusher Motorhome is bigger, has more tires, slideouts, interior space, and appliances. A smaller camper, such as a truck camper or one without slideouts, is an example on the other end of the spectrum.
The software used to capture and deliver results affects the duration of the inspection. The RV Scribeware software that I developed for RV inspections is more efficient and can support multiple inspectors, compared to the software taught at the NRVIA. The time to do the inspection can range from 3.5 hours with multiple inspectors to 8 to 9 hours.
2A. An NRVIA inspection is a thorough, professional inspection of an RV conducted by an inspector certified by the NRVIA. It is a comprehensive evaluation of all the RV’s systems, from the roof and seals to the electrical, plumbing, and propane systems, designed to identify any potential issues before a purchase. The industry recognizes this type of inspection as a standard because it delivers detailed, unbiased reports to buyers.
